CLASSES FOR ACTIVE DUTY ONLY

BCIP 1—Part 1 of a 2 part class that teaches nutritional strategies for Healthy Living. Mandatory for members that scored <75 on their fitness test & have an abdominal circumference >40" (males) or >35" (females). Must complete BCIP #1 within 10 duty days after HLP.

BCIP 2—Part  2 of 2 BCIP classes that are required for members  that scored < 75 on their fitness test and have an abdominal circumference >40" (males) or >35" (females).

FIP/BCIP Follow-up—Required 30 day monthly follow-up for members that scored <75 on their fitness test. Consists of food diary review, weigh-in, and information to support nutritional health and lifestyle change (BCIP). Individuals not in BCIP will just stay for the FIP portion of class, which consists of an exercise prescription and exercise session.

Fitness Review Panel—Designed to evaluate the member's fitness status and barriers to improvement. Includes recommendations for additional intervention to assist the member in a successful outcome.

Healthy Living Program (HLP)—Required for AD receiving composite fitness score <75: member must attend within 10 duty days of fitness test. Lecture on exercise intensity, nutrition, and behavior modification.

PTL Initial Class—Learn to lead safe group exercises and administer the AF Fitness Test. Wear exercise clothing and be prepared for physical activity. Need CPR/BLS/AED certification prior to attending.

PTL Refresher Class—Annual requirement for existing PTLs to review PT options and standardization of testing. Wear exercise clothing and be prepared for physical activity.

PTL CPR Class—This class will certify PTLs, or those who will become a PTL in Basic Life Support.  AED training will also be conducted.  The class is held in the Education and Training Room on the Second Floor of the Medical Group Clinic, Building 1465.

UFPM Training—Initial training for UFPMs to administer their unit's AF Fitness Program & manage the AF Fitness Management System (AFFMS) & People Helping People (PHP)   scheduling program.
CLASSES FOR ALL ID CARD HOLDERS
Cholesterol Class—Learn about how to manage your cholesterol and keep it within normal limits. 

Diabetes Class—Learn how to keep your blood sugar level within normal limits by medical management, nutrition, and exercise. 

Exercise Prescriptions—By appointment only.  An individualized exercise plan will be developed for you if you are on a profile and/or if you want a general exercise plan. 1/2 hr per appointment time.

Hypertension Class—This class will help you learn how to keep your blood pressure under control through diet, exercise, and medication options.

Sensible Weigh Class—This class teaches you the fundamentals of weight loss, which involves proper meal management and regular exercise.

Zumba---Zumba is a fitness class inspired by Latin Dance, and combines a variety of Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create a dynamic, exciting, and effective aerobic routine that is fun and easy! This class is offered every Tuesday from 1700 to 1800 in the
Community Center Ballroom.

Pose Running Clinic—Learn the fundamentals of Pose running, including form and biomechanics, Strength and flexibility exercises.
