CLASSES FOR ACTIVE DUTY ONLY
PTL Initial Class—Learn to lead safe group exercises and administer the AF Fitness Test. Wear exercise clothing and be prepared for physical activity. Need CPR/BLS/AED certification prior to attending.
PTL Refresher Class—Annual requirement for existing PTLs to review PT options and standardization of testing. Wear exercise clothing and be prepared for physical activity.
PTL CPR Class—This class will certify PTLs, or those who will become a PTL in Basic Life Support. AED training will also be conducted. The class is held in the Education and Training Room on the Second Floor of the Medical Group Clinic, Building 1465. Please call 283-7104 to sign up for the class.
CLASSES FOR ALL ID CARD HOLDERS
Cholesterol Class—Learn about how to manage your cholesterol and keep it within normal limits.
Diabetes Class—Learn how to keep your blood sugar level within normal limits by medical management, nutrition, and exercise.
Hypertension Class—This class will help you learn how to keep your blood pressure under control through diet, exercise, and medication options.
Sensible Weigh Through Fitness and Nutrition Class—This class teaches you the fundamentals of weight loss, which involves proper meal management and regular exercise.
Natural Running Clinic—Learn the fundamentals of natural running, including form and biomechanics, Strength and flexibility exercises are shown as well. Follow-ups offered every Friday from 0800-0845.
Healthy Food Demo – Join us for healthy cooking tips and samples at our monthly food demos.
Healthy Back Class– Learn ways to strengthen your overall core through exercises to relieve back pain. This class is great for those who have back pain and for those who want to prevent back pain. Class is held upstairs in Group Exercise Room 1.
Push Up/Sit Up Improvement – Learn exercises to improve those component scores. Meet upstairs in Group Exercise Room 1. No prior sign-up required.
